I don’t know about you, but I NEED a vacation. I’ll settle for a weekend getaway, but a real vacation would be very nice. The last true vacation we went on was to Disney World when our son was two years old. He’s going to be 26 years old this year. Needless to say it’s been a while (too long).
I dream of going on vacation to a cabin on a lake, or a hut on the beach. The idea of going some place like the Caribbean, Hawaii, Fiji or Bali sound A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Well… those destinations are never going to be financially feasible. I’ll never be able to go on a tropical getaway. The best I can do is watch videos and movies about such places, and fill my home with tropical fragrances. Typically in the warmer weather months I use fragrances (plugins, sprays, candles…) inspired by the tropics.

Island Bliss Body Wash (Coco Mango) and Luscious Island Body Moisturizer (Coco Mango)
I try and take a quick shower to conserve water, but sometimes I just need to stand there and “zone out” for a bit. This body wash makes me want to stay in the shower longer (ha ha). It smells incredible. The scent floats in the air while in the shower.
This is a nice body wash. It washes well and rinses off without any weird residue.
The body moisturizer is a must. I always apply moisturizer all over my body after I step out of the shower. I especially need moisturizer during the cold weather months.
This moisturizer leaves your skin feeling silky soft and hydrated. The scent is wonderful too.
Island Bliss Moisture Rich Shampoo and Lucious Island Conditioner
I am very picky when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. I have color treated hair, so I need products that are color treated hair friendly. These products are.
The shampoo washes and rinses out perfectly. It leaves your hair squeaky clean, all while giving you a beautiful scent to enjoy.
I was especially worried about the conditioner. I didn’t want there to be any knots. I usually “finger comb” my hair after applying conditioner, to ensure that all my hair (from roots to ends) is covered. My fingers were able to run through my hair without snagging.
This also rinses out well with no weird residue. It leaves your hair feeling soft. It smells nice too. Unfortunately the scent doesn’t stay on your hair. I asked my husband a couple of times to smell my hair, and he said he didn’t really smell anything. That’s okay. At least I enjoyed it as I was using it in the shower.
Luscious Island Curl Control (Tropical Citrus)
I have naturally wavy hair. There are a few curls in there here and there.
I’ve always been on the look for a product that might help bring those curls out more. It didn’t do that, but it helps my waves.
What I have done is apply this product and finger twist my hair into coils here and there (not my entire head, just several coils around my hair). I let my hair dry and gently finger comb my hair. My waves look really nice (I should take a before/after picture… I just don’t like to be photographed).
This product also helps with the frizzies.
As you can imagine, it smells lovely too.

Luscious Island Protein Mist (Tropical Citrus)
This product is a must have for me. WOW! Where has this been all my life.
Aside from the scent, this product is a must if you have split ends and frizzy hair.

WOW!
My hair is strange. The hair on my left side (ends) is more dry and frizzy than the right side. I seem to have less hair on the left side too (thinner). I addressed it with my beautician and she said that people’s hair has it’s own mind and that might just be how it is. I thought it had something to do with coloring the under side of my hair Royal Purple a few times (I thought I dried it out) because my hair had to be bleached. I hated todo it but I had to.
Using this product makes both sides of my hair look great. I will definitely repurchase this when the bottle is empty.
Luscious Island Hair Masque (Tropical Citrus)
I believe in hair masks/masques. I use one at least twice a week. I feel like my hair NEEDS an extra boost of moisturizer, vitamins and minerals to keep it looking and feeling healthy.
Unlike other masks/masques, this one is simple to use and rinses out well.
You use this in the shower. After washing your hair, apply the mask/masque and leave it in for 5-10 minutes. I use that time to enjoy my lovely body wash and soak up the lovely fragrance.
My hair looks and feels good when I use this mask. I have been using it twice a week as recommended. If you wash your hair more or less adjust it’s usage to suit your needs and hair.
Luscious Island Hair Oil (Coconut Paradise)
This is another product that you use in the shower, similar to the hair mask/masque. To be honest, I tend to be weary of oil products. I always worry that they won’t rinse off completely and my skin or hair will look greasy. That is no the case at all. This rinses off just fine, and my hair has not looked greasy.
For me, this is the same as the hair mask/masque. You really just need one or another. I guess it depends on your preference.
This product reminds me of the VO5 oil treatment I used to use a long time ago (the capsule one you needed to warm up). The only difference is you don’t need to warm up this product.
You also leave this in for 5-10 minutes. Just like with the mask/masque, my hair looks and feels good.
I guess you can stay these are interchangeable. They work the same way, so it’s just a preference.
