What is a Patch Test?
A patch test is a test to discover whether a person is allergic to any of several substances that are applied to the skin under a patch. They are conducted on a variety of skin types and age groups! We perform patch testing with volunteers as a replacement for cruel testing on animals.
What does 'Hypoallergenic' mean?
“Hypoallergenic” means less likely to cause an allergic reaction. It doesn’t mean something is completely allergy‑proof — and it may contain some known allergens in the formula, but they are in such small quantities that they are not likely to cause an allergic reaction. You will see this claim on some of our packaging. It’s there because we lab test every product formula for allergic reactions. We’re proud to say that our products have produced no allergic reactions in any of our independent lab tests. If you have known allergies or medical concerns, please consult a healthcare professional before use.
